Moreover, paired with a new column-shifted TorqueFlite® HD eight-speed automatic transmission, this power plant can now tow up to 36,610 lbs. This engine nicely complements the standard engine of the 2025 RAM 2500: the tried and true 6.4-liter HEMI® V8, which achieves 405 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque and also features the new gearbox.
Infotainment
The refresh of this new RAM truck extends to the infotainment system too, where the state-of-the-art Uconnect® 5 platform includes a newly available 14.5-inch center touchscreen. Complementing this new display on select trims are a segment-first 10.25-inch passenger screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and class-exclusive dual wireless phone charging. The Uconnect 5® system has also been enhanced this year and now operates at speeds five times faster than the previous generation.
