The 2022 Ram 1500 near Parkville is available with either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. You have this option with most trim levels. The one exception is the TRX, which is a performance-oriented off-road model. The Tradesman features trailer sway damping even if you do not opt for trailering equipment. This leaves you the option for a future upgrade. The Rebel adds Class IV trailering equipment. The Laramie adds remote engine start. The Limited adds an adjustable four-corner air suspension. The TRX features numerous upgrades, including a performance suspension and performance exhaust.
An eight-speed automatic transmission is used throughout the lineup. The base powertrain features a 3.6L V6 engine—305 hp and 269 lb.-ft. of torque—with eTorque. Most trim levels also give you the option of a 5.7L V8 engine—395 hp and 410 lb.-ft.—which can be had with or without eTorque. Most trim levels also give you the option of a 3.0L turbo-diesel V6 engine: 260 hp and 480 lb.-ft. There is also a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine that is exclusive to the TRX: 702 hp and 650 lb.-ft. Maximum towing capacity ranges from 6,120 to 8,280 pounds.
Models with the 5-inch touchscreen have the Uconnect 3 infotainment system. Models with the larger touchscreens have the newer Uconnect 5 system. A rearview monitor is standard. Frontal collision mitigation and an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Android and Apple integration become standard with the Laramie and Rebel. The Longhorn adds integrated navigation and front and rear parking sensors. The Limited adds a 12-inch touchscreen, blind-spot monitoring and a wireless charging pad. There are also a number of options available starting with the Laramie and Rebel. These include a 360-degree camera, intelligent cruise control and lane departure mitigation.
