The hardworking Ram 2500 has a playful sibling called the Ram Power Wagon. This 4×4 was named FourWheeler’s Truck of the Year. The Ram Power Wagon took home the grand prize after extensive off-road testing. You’ll find the 2500 at Don White, your Ram dealer Baltimore. The Ram 2500 is its segment’s Top Recommended Pick in the Edmunds 2015 Buyer’s Guide.
Judging
To earn 2015 Pickup of the Year, the Ram truck had to prove itself worthy as a people-hauler as well as a tough off-roader. The judges were asked to rate design, materials and layout. The Ram easily earned great marks. One favorite attribute, according to the judges, is the ability to create a flat load floor by folding the back seat. When the Power Wagon was put through tough real-life challenges, judges discovered that it could handle every test. It rolled easily over rocky trails. It rolled up and down inclines with ease.
Off-road Equipment
The Power Wagon has the highest ground clearance of any Ram 2500, which is built for great clearance. It also has body armor to deflect damaging debris. The flexible suspension is probably its most vital feature. This allows the Power Wagon to take punishment without punishing the passengers. It also protects components from the harshness of trail riding. Bilstein components offer plenty of give while rock-solid axles offer plenty of strength. The Articulink suspension helps the rear axle handle off-roading stress. The newest feature is hill descent control, which regulates speed as the truck moves down a steep trail. For excellent performance on or off the road, the V8 engine cranks out 410 horsepower and 428 lb-ft/torque.
