Ram 1500 Continues to Gain Market Share

The Ram 1500 has continued to gain market share, according to reports originally published in the Wall Street Journal. This follows a trend that started even before the truck was named Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year in 2013 and 2014. Doubtless, an uptick in sales is due to the prestigious award, but the continued success is due to something more. Don White is your Ram dealer in Baltimore.
The Ram brand saw a double digit jump in sales during the final days of 2013. The Ram 1500 sold 11 percent more vehicles in December. No doubt, these sales were taken from typical rival pickups such as the Baltimore Ford F150. Sales jumped again when the world’s first EcoDiesel truck hit the market. Over 42,500 were sold in March alone. Based on sources such as AutoWeek, Motor Trend, and Automotive News, here are some reasons that Ram is gaining on the competition.
* The EcoDiesel gets 28 mpg/highway and 20 mpg/city. That’s best-in-class fuel economy. The Ram’s V6 gas model is its next rival with 25 mpg/highway. What a pair! * The EcoDiesel is the first clean diesel among pickup trucks ever! * The EcoDiesel is the only light duty diesel offered today. * The Ram 1500 sells at a price point that is actually cheaper than the Baltimore Ford F150. With Active-Level™ Four-Corner Air Suspension, drivers notice better handling and better gas mileage. Passengers notice better ride quality. * Both the unique suspension and 8-speed transmission will reduce wear-and-tear, leading to a longer life.
